“Biddy” Martin, Charles Pruitt, and Kathi Seifert to speak at second forum on financing UW

The second UW-Madison forum on financing public higher education in Wisconsin will be held this Wednesday, September 22 at 4:30 pm in the Wisconsin Idea Room at the newly-renovated School of Education, 1000 Bascom Mall. Refreshments will be served.   Additional details can be found on the PROFS website.

The panel will consist of Chancellor “Biddy” Martin, UW Board of Regents President Charles Pruitt, and business leader Kathi Seifert.  Each panel member will give a short presentation, followed by audience questions.

The topic of this series of forums is how Wisconsin will ensure the adequate funding of the University of Wisconsin system in an era of shrinking state budgets. The first forum was held last February.

In view of the urgency of the budget problems facing our university, we strongly encourage attendance by the UW-Madison community, the public, and the press.
